If you have to get a motor don't go to the dealer go to gmpartsdirect.com. they are alot cheaper than the dealer, like almost 50% cheaper. If you need a part number for it let me know I have a parts manual on CD.

Make sure to check the headlamp control module first... (It is located on the side of the fuse box closest to the head lights under the hood.) That in itself tells the actuator (motor) to engage... If it isn't working then the actuator won't make a sound.

Just in case the headlamp control module isn't the problem, here's those part numbers#

Firebird headlamp actuator (motor) (98-02), LH = 16524229
Firebird headlamp actuator (motor) (98-02), RH = 16524230
