I can ask at work among our paint dept to see if anyone does side jobs? But I can't possibly get an answer to you till late Tues or Wed after I've returned to work...
As for your comment about not wanting to renew your membership leaves me almost speechless? That's perfectly acceptable and most certainly your choice but I'm sorry you feel that way? I sure hope your basing that choice on a rational reason and not some trivial feeling?
I know your not going to want to hear this? This is also my own personal opinion and therefore I’m not speaking for the club on an official status, I’m also not singling you out. I thought you brought up an excellent point that many of us overlook far too frequently. I thank you for brining this to light so that others can review their own involvement or lack thereof.
This is after all a Club! An organization whose survival is based upon the principal that it’s member’s work together, on a united front to further its goals. Because we are a club and a club is built upon people, this means we all have our own opinions. We also must never forget it’s the club survival that we all seek in the end, despite on occasions that our own personal ideas might have to be pushed aside for the betterment of the club. We can’t always be in agreement on every issue but we can all agree, that we wish to see, the club grow and blossom. There are a great many people within this organization that have worked very hard for you and all its members. They have sacrificed time with their families, personal money, and volunteered to take a leadership role when others have not stepped up to the plate, all to keep the organization alive and prospering. It’s we that owe a great deal to them and their tireless efforts! A club isn’t a welfare program where the mass majority set on the sideline and does nothing to contribute yet expect everything in return. We must all try and do something; it takes a lot more than $2.00 a month from each of us, to keep such an organization operating. It takes people volunteering to help out with the minor tasks from time to time, instead of expecting a few to handle everything…
We all have to remember we only get out of it what we put into it…
I encourage all members to use the message board to voice their ideas, opinions, or just for chatting. Attend the monthly meetings when they can, we are always glad to see people come out? To offer assistance with a club project be it a cruise, parade, or our car show, for we always can use the help… Sure we all realize that not everyone can contribute as much as others but each of us can do something beside just paying an annual due. Is that too much to ask?
